Education
Dr. Akolawole Michael Abayomi’s undergraduate training was at University of Ilorin, Kwara state after which he proceeded for NYSC where he served at the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Training Center Zaria, where he picked up an interest in Dermatology following the article published by his mentor and trainer Emeritus Professor Yetunde Mercy Olumide.
He did his junior postgraduate medical training at Ahmadu Bello Teaching Hospital and three years senior training in Dermatology with sub specialization in dermatosurgery precisely keloids and endocrine skin disorders at Lagos University Teaching Hospital under the guidance of his mentor.
Aside the above, he is a serial entrepreneur and developmental economist. He has master in Business administration, Master in Economics, and a certificate diploma in Health Management from University of Washington.
Exposure
He started his international exposure in Dermatology and Dermato-surgery at world Congress of Dermatology Praque (Czech Republic). He further concluded other Dermatology training conferences and courses in Dubai, India and some Europe countries renowned for Dermatologic trainings.
Professional Experience
He has worked as a resident doctor in department of medicine in Zaria, a senior resident in Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
He also worked at Ekiti state University as a Lecturer in General/Internal Medicine and an associate lecturer in department of physiology. He worked as a consultant dermatologist, general physician and aesthetic surgeon at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital. He worked as a consultant dermatologist, general physician and aesthetic surgeon at Limi Multi-specialist Hospital, Abuja from 2018 till he resigned to establish his own practice. He is currently the medical director of Supreme Dermatology and Specialist Hospital, Abuja.
